Cigna Technology Services is looking for technology-focused individuals to join the Technology Early Career Development Program (TECDP) summer internship program. The TECDP mission is to support the professional development needs of early career Technology Services associates, as well as Technology Services talent requirements by providing summer interns with challenging technology assignments, formalized training and guided mentorship. The committed partnership between interns, program management and leadership is a testament to the value of the TECDP and the critical role it plays in developing Cigna’s future Technology Services professionals.

The TECDP summer internship offers students interested in the field of technology a realistic experience of what it’s like to work in Technology Services at Cigna. The internship is designed to further develop an individual’s technical skills aligned with their interests. The TECDP program manager will work with the interns to determine the best role for them prior to starting. In addition to their role work, summer interns will have the opportunity to participate in an innovations project to solve a real-world Technology Services challenge.

Length of Internship: 10 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Internship candidates must be pursuing a high school degree at time of hire
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical/technical skills and knowledge
  • Innovative thinker and problem solver
  • Energetic, motivated and career-driven
  • Seeks learning opportunities
  • 3.0 or better overall GPA preferred

A goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
