Job title: SCIENTIST – TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH Company: University of Wisconsin System Job description : Position Summary: The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Scientist to join a translational research laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying rare Mendelian disease/ birth defects. The lab has a long-standing interest in congenital facial weakness/Moebius syndrome, mitochondrial disorders, and undiagnosed, but suspected genetic disease. We explore these concepts using both in vitro and in vivo models (iPS work and cell culture models, mouse models) as well as with specimens from human subjects. The School of Medicine and Public Health has a deep and profound commitment to diversity both as an end in itself but also as a valuable means for eliminating health disparities.
