Job description: Position Summary:

As a Data Integration Developer, you will support data related initiatives within Data Strategy and Architecture (DSA) with a focus for the SANDBAR program. This role is responsible for developing data extraction, load and transformation (ELT) programs for the initiative, developing and executing ELT test plans, and automating the ELT process through scheduling and exception-handling routines.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with applications specialists (SMEs) to understand the new data requirements
  • Designs, develops, tests and deploys ELT programs to extract, stage, cleanse, transform and load the data needed
  • Troubleshoots, maintains and supports the warehouse and the downstream data feeds sent to consuming applications for analysis and reporting
  • Analyzes data flow requirements and develops ELT programs for staging and loading data
  • Tests, loads and validates data
  • Creates ELT system design specifications
  • Develops and unit tests ELT routines according to technical design specifications
  • Supports system, integration and UAT testing
  • Assists with performing source data quality assessments
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference of concentration in Software Engineering/Computer Science
  • Five (5) years’ experience in SQL-based development required
  • Experience in ELT Development highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of relational database design concepts, architecture, and design

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Ability to gather requirements, apply strong analysis and design skills to build ELT and system specifications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work with data warehouse users, IT Business Analysts
  • Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands on experience with SQL-Based databases highly beneficial (and preferred)
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based solutions and databases beneficial
  • Proficient in designing and development SQL Queries
