We are a CRO located in the Bay Area focused on supporting biotech and pharmaceutical companies with a number of projects. We are FDA registered and DEA licensed. Due to recent growth, we are looking to hire a Chemist with knowledge of drug discovery and development, experience in a GLP/cGMP environment, and some management experience.

What You Will Be Doing

– Independently develop and validate (bio)analytical methods for detection and quantitation of raw materials, drugs, metabolites, impurities, etc. in biological matrices and in API or product formulations. You may use techniques such as mass spectrometry (MS and MS/MS), HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, CAD, NMR, etc.
– Create research and product development proposals and budgets, set company wide R&D goals and priorities
– Work collaboratively with other scientists and teams to meet client’s needs and support QA measures
– Provide Study Director duties in regards to GLP/cGMP projects with strict adherence to regulatory standards
– Supervise all chemistry study activities, (i.e. study initiation, data reporting and processing, and site management) and ensure the department achieves project goals and budget targets in a timely manner

What You Need for this Position

– Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with a focus on analytical chemistry or bioanalyses
– 3+ years in R&D or equivalent work or post-doc experience
– 2+ years of hands-on experience with LC-MS, MS/MS, and/or HRMS assay development (in areas such as: peptides, antibodies, ADCs, small molecules, new chemical entities & oligonucleotides)
– Mass spectrometer experience (operating & troubleshooting)
– Experience with relevant software platforms, subsequent data analyses and interpretation
– 2+ years experience in: Bioanalysis (preferred), biologics discovery, API and finished product analysis, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) studies, metabolite ID, or a related field in drug discovery and development
