Job description: Overview:

The Scientist will play a central part in the development of cell therapeutics. This role will work in a controlled laboratory environment within a collaborative team to design and conduct research needed to guide cell therapies from pre-clinical through clinical trials. The successful candidate will face the exciting challenge to engineer novel cell therapies derived from induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC) for the treatment of cancers and rare diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with project leader to develop and execute human iPSC genetic engineering strategies
  • Effectively design, plan and execute activities with other members of the team
  • Set the stage for early process development through careful execution and documentation of experiments
  • Conduct laboratory activities, write protocols and technical reports as part of good documentation practice
  • Conceive, design, and perform experiments independently

Experience:

  • PhD in immunology, stem cell biology, molecular biology, or related field with a strong publication record
  • Experience with genome editing (CRISPR/Cas9) is required
  • Experience in iPSC culture and differentiation techniques is a plus
  • Extensive hands-on laboratory skills (qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, etc.)
  • Experience working with animal models and/or in cell therapy or related field
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and prioritization skills
