Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 1:

• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.

• Order/obtain historic documentation, conduct site visits, write reports and communicate findings to the project managers
• Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments and Baseline Environmental Assessments.

• Develop HASP, prep for fieldwork, conduct fieldwork, prepare data tables and reports.
• Environmental Compliance.

• Assist in gathering of data through discussion with clients or fieldwork, develop compliance plans or programs, communicate with project manager on actions and support for client.
• EHS Auditing.

• Assist in conducting EHS audits virtually or at client sites, draft audit reports including corrective actions, present to clients.
• Emission Testing.

• Helping calibrate and prepare equipment, moving and setting up equipment with the team for testing at client sites, conducting testing, assisting project manager.
• Air.

• Assist in emission inventories, compiling records, permit applications and back-up documentation, reporting
• Environmental Reporting.

• Gather data from clients for reporting, completing draft reports and back-up documentation, submit on behalf of clients.
• Storm Water Maintenance.

• Inspecting and documenting the condition of storm water structures, oversight of cleaning of storm water structures by contractor.
• EHS Support.

• Supporting clients in their EHS compliance through inspections, program audits, training,
• Health & Safety.

• Preparing LOTO procedures, doing assessments (machine guarding, confined space, evaluating egress/surfaces, working at heights support
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Perform operation and maintenance activities on remedial systems.
• Input data into template reports.
• Conduct field work (up to 75%).

What we’re looking for:

• BS in Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 0-2 years of experience with environmental, health & safety (EHS).
• Willingness to travel. We can be in the field up to 75% of the time. Not always overnight, but sometimes out of town for the week.
• Ability to juggle and multi-task.
• Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, preferred.
• Experience with data management and report preparation.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
