JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of all the SAP systems in the landscape including application administration, security, interfacing of database, hardware, and peripherals. Responsible for managing ECC, BW, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, and GRC systems. The key responsibilities include: SAP system installations, version upgrades, service pack upgrades, Enhancement Pack upgrades, management of the Corrections and Transport Systems (CTS) and Change Management process. Support of all aspects of SAP system management, support for the Solution Manager Module, SAP performance, and the recommendation of tuning changes to enhance performance. This position is responsible for ensuring maximum system utilization and availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical Design and Implementation of a Global SAP Landscape
  • Setup and administer SAP print services and queues and other interfaces
  • Define target levels for Key Performance Indicators
  • Monitor system performance and Tune system to achieve target performance KPIs
  • Coordinate SAP system performance and capacity planning with other system and OS administrators
  • Work closely with business application staff to improve process performance and reliability of production systems.
  • Conduct rigorous performance, reliability, and capacity testing on new applications prior to live implementation.
  • Implement technologies and processes to automate system monitoring and performance benchmarking.
  • Plan the system and landscape changes, integrate plans with technical, functional and business teams as needed.
  • Coordinate technical requirements for special Projects.
  • Security Design and implementation in all SAP systems
  • Plan and Lead upgrade projects. Play hands-on role on these projects.
  • Plan maintenance projects/tasks to improve information on hardware, data transfer, replication, restoration or other necessary activities.
  • Establish processes and procedures to run system administration as a service to the organization.
  • Address system issues timely. This includes resolving and escalating issues to the appropriate group on: system performance, system error logs, work processes, ABAP dumps, workload analysis buffers, database error Logs, etc.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery testing tasks and maintain disaster recovery documentation.
  • Support and investigate change requests to system functionality.
  • Applying OSS note fixes to programs (when necessary).
  • Full support of all MGI governance and compliance responsibilities
  • Responsible for System administration and implementations of SAP HANA projects
  • Define expectations for, monitor performance and develop/train team members on system administration and security.
  • Advisor and mentor to Global Operations Staff

Job Requirements

  • Minimum – Bachelor’s Degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Computer Sciences, or Engineering
  • SAP Systems Administration (Basis) Experience as part of Global SAP Implementation teams
  • 10 years of Hands-on SAP Systems Administration (Basis) experience including 5 Years of experience in Lead position
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, BW, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal and GRC
  • Experience with SAP Security Set Up
  • NetWeaver experience
  • SAP HANA experience is a plus
  • Experience with Operating Systems (IBM System i, Windows, SUSE Linux, UNIX ) is a plus
