MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

JOB DUTIES:

The Financial Management Unit has numerous responsibilities within the Bureau of Finance and Accounting. Some of the tasks undertaken to fulfill these responsibilities are performed daily, some weekly, monthly or even only annually. In order to ensure successful completion, the Unit engages in cross-training and shared responsibility for most tasks. This position has the following responsibilities:

Serves as the Purchasing Card Program Administrator. Monitors all cardholder transactions. Develops and recommends policies and procedures regarding the purchasing card program. Maintains all records. Updates all relevant guidelines, manuals and training materials as needed. Acts as a liaison between the program participants and the contract provider.

Serves as back-up for the cash and investment management functions including daily monitoring and reporting of cash and investment positions, investing and divesting funds necessary to meet the various funding needs, monthly recording of interests and reconciling with the Treasurer both monthly and at year-end.
