Job description: The Network Mental Health Residential Program Coordinator is a member of the VISN 23 Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community (MH ICC) Executive Team. This position has principle responsibility within the network for coordinating the full range of clinical and administrative activities associated with all the VA Midwest Health Care Network’s Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MH RRTP). The incumbent reports directly to the Network’s Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community Director. Their responsibilities fall broadly into two major areas of operations. First, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of all MH RRTP activities within the VISN. Secondly, they are responsible for supporting the social work discipline-specific activities occurring within Mental Health. Duties include, but are not limited to: Has administrative and programmatic responsibility for coordination of 9 geographically distinct sites of care providing MH RRTP services to include: Des Moines, IA – 60 Beds (DCHV, Gen-Dom, Dom-SUD, Dom-PTSD) Omaha, NE – 24 Beds (Gen-Dom, Dom-SUD) Grand Island – 22 Beds (Dom-SUD, CWT-TR) Hot Springs – 100 Beds (DCHV, Gen-Dom, Dom-SUD, Dom-PTSD) Fort Meade – 10 Beds (CWT-TR) Pine Ridge – 12 Beds (CWT-TR) St. Cloud – 100 Beds (Gen-Dom) Oversees the establishment of program monitors, improvement plans, and outcome measurements within RRTP using data-driven quality assurance processes. Assists with development of recovery-oriented program monitors and outcome measures for use by facilities and the MH ICC to promote evidence-based, recovery-focused program content. Provides oversight and reporting for all programs within the incumbent’s scope of responsibility to ensure compliance with appropriate policies, practices, and standards of care. Uses a variety of tools and systems to monitoring program efficacy and improve performance. Coordinates efforts to improve performance based on program evaluation data to improve clinical efficacy, veteran satisfaction and service timeliness of interventions provided in MH RRTP programs. Serves on decision-making committees at the Medical Center, VISN, and VACO levels. Represents the VISN MH ICC at professional/program community group/events and committees, in conferences/meetings with higher-ranking managers, supervisors, and staff from other disciplines or work units, and/or with representatives of local public interest groups, congressional district offices, and employees of State and local governments. Establishes high level working relationships with other VISN’s in support of operations. Provides administrative back-up and coverage to the MH ICC Clinical Director during absences Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Work Location: Eagan, MN is preferred, but other VISN 23 locations may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
