K-12 Testing & Assessment Manager

This position will report to the Director of Performance and Accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor degree in education or related field.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in test administration logistics. Knowledge of state and local testing requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate shall possess the ability to:

• Manage the state and district testing schedules and ensure compliance with state testing requirements. This includes but is not limited to OST, AASCD, KRA, OELPA, OGT, SCPP, ACT, SAT, IOWA, and MAP.
• Manage the life-cycle of each test administration, from acquiring the pre-id file, through the EMIS submission.
• Ensure that all required assessments are completed within the testing window. Communicates progress on test completion to internal stakeholders.
• Disseminate information regarding assessments, testing procedures, national standards and the Ohio Department of Education standards to internal stakeholders.
• Provide in-person training to Building Test Coordinators (BTC) and co-develop building testing procedures and schedules. Review state compliance requirements with BTC.
• Collaborate with the Student Services department, counselors, building test coordinators, and principals prior to the testing window to ensure that student accommodations are available and potential conflicts are resolved.
• Audit assessment-related data in the student information system to ensure testing codes and scores are displayed accurately and submitted through EMIS.
• Serve as the main point of contact for testing vendors. Resolve login and other technical issues.
• Complete and submit all state-required documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with state law governing assessments and state testing rules.
• Establish relationships with ODE assessment personnel and attends regional assessment meetings.
• Manage multiple projects: budgets, resources, and timelines for completion
• Supervise the EMIS Testing Specialist.
• Establish and conduct quality improvement (QI) projects aligned with the CPS Strategic Plan.
• Attend meetings and recurring meetings as assigned.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS:

Type of Contract: Limited Contract – 261 day
Salary: Manager – Per CAAS Agreement
