The Supervisory Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) Located at VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville Illinois **Recruitment/Relocation incentive authorized for highly qualified candidate. Major Duties include (but not limited to): Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates all SPS activities as necessary to effectively administer SPS operational requirements Manages the overall SPS budget including determining resource needs, allocating resources, and ensuring proper utilization in productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness of SPS operations Formulates objectives, develops priorities and implements plans that support organizational goals Ensures operations are in compliance with all safety, regulatory and accrediting requirements Oversees orientation and training of staff Serves as program manager for the facility RME Program and is the technical subject matter expert and advisor to management and professional staff of the Medical Center relative to RME use Responsible for direct management and coordination of activities in accordance with established federal, legal, regulatory and policy directives, as well as planning, organizing, directing, evaluating and managing all aspects of daily functions to include setting quantitative standards Maintains an efficient and effective organization, initiating systematic program reviews and critical evaluations of key functions based on QCD standards and revises or implements new procedures and/or organizational changes for improved quality of the SPS and RME programs Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required **Recruitment/Relocation incentive authorized for highly qualified candidate.
