Job description: About You:
Are you an experienced full stack web developer who is passionate about writing clean and well-tested code? If so our growing product team in Pittsburgh, PA may be the place for you. Our current stack is built on React / Redux and Python / Django / Django REST Framework, but you don’t need to have experience with these specifically.
What does it take to join our team?
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience architecting large and complex software solutions
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of production experience with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, Ember, etc.)
- 3+ years of production experience with an MVC-style web framework (Django, Rails, Laravel, etc)
- 3+ years of production experience creating and maintaining REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of architecting, building, testing, and refactoring REST API and frontend components
- Solid foundational knowledge of the web
- Working knowledge of Ubuntu (or other *nix), Bash, and Git
Must be:
- Local and willing to work on site in Pittsburgh, PA (post-pandemic).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and able to work independently and take ownership to create high-quality work.
- Able to work well with teams, communicate clearly and diplomatically, and explain technical considerations to non-technical employees.
- Able to define scope and write concise, precise requirements.
- Able to understand the problem that needs to be solved and offer better alternatives if the requested change is not the best solution.

Examples of What You’ll Do:
- Interface heavily with remote Recruiting, Customer Success, and Operations teams to design, build, and test new features.
- Work closely with internal recruiters to fine-tune our core algorithms to ensure we are making the best possible job-candidate matches.
- Analyze user behavior and feedback to modify or rebuild core user experiences.
- Continue to build out our next generation legal hiring platform including further developing our comprehensive behavioral and work-style assessments.
