Job description: at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Scientist to join our team studying how sub-cellular organelles communicate in response to stimuli. Currently, we are working to mechanistically define 1) spatial-temporal regulation of energy homeostasis at lipid droplet-organelle contact sites and 2)

dynamic organization of ER-Golgi secretory compartments. We use multi-modal light and electron microscopy tools together with genome-editing, biochemistry and in vitro reconstitution to address these questions at molecular and cellular levels.

Preferred experiences include:

• Highly experienced in live-cell confocal microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, and imaging analysis
• strong background in molecular cloning, basic cell biology (cell culture and transfection), and biochemistry
• moderate experience in membrane in vitro reconstitution and protein purification
• experience in genome-wide screen and proximity labeling – proteomic analyses
• willing to work collaboratively in a small group
• willing to performs other related duties as needed to successfully execute research projects

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific area is required.

Minimum Experience

• Seven (7) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required
• Five (5) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a Master’s degree
• Three (3) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a PhD
