Work Schedule:: Full-time PM shift, 3:00pm – 11:30 pm, Alternate weekends, Benefit Eligible
What You Will Do

The Virtual Counselor will be a part of the rollout and usage of a new online web application for middle school adolescents that was created to benefit their overall emotional wellness by providing healthy coping skills to manage uncomfortable emotions or stressors.

The Virtiual Counselor will be responsible for monitoring the responses of the adolescents and reaching out through text message and video chat to provide support. They will be required to consistently develop new content to keep the app updated.

Review data algorithms for monitoring trending responses and reporting red flags. Must be comfortable with crisis management and referrals.

This is a non-clinical based program and is for the benefit of the middle school students.

All interaction with students is done virtually. This is a remote position. A private, distraction free area to work from home i is required.

** Availability to attend on-site team meetings and programs at the hospital or medical group location within Chicago area.

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

Education:

MS degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage/Family Counseling or related field

Adolescence counseling experience highly preferred

What You Will Need

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.
