Sr Government Program Manager in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

Candidate must possess excellent communication and collaborations skills as position requires coordination with Completions, Service Center, Engineering, Flight Test, CAO and Procurement organizations to meet business & customer satisfaction goals. Experience working with defense contractors preferred Experience leading suppliers and subcontractors preferred Experience certifying aircraft modifications via Supplemental Type Certificates preferred

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master’s Degree preferred.
10 years experience in aircraft design, manufacturing or service & support. 5 years project management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience, project management and/or technical experience.

Position Purpose:
Directs the activities of assigned program managers, project managers and program coordinators. Manages cross-functional program team for complex government programs involving substantial aircraft modifications and/or complex logistics requirements, ensuring all program deliverables are met. Plan, organize and manage company & supplier resources to meet assigned program cost/schedule milestones and margin targets. Responsibilities include development of complex modification program proposals, program management of all program schedules, cost/benefit analysis, meeting all financial/margin targets, development, modification, test, certification, , product support, quality, reliability & availability and entry into service issues & activities and logistic support (when applicable).

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Track program schedules. 2. Ensures program achieves certification schedule and performance requirements. 3. Effectively manages budgets to achieve cost/margin targets and revenue projections. 4. Manages evaluation, selection & implementation of new engineering/manufacturing technologies as required. 5. Supports Completion and Service Center activities to meet business & customer satisfaction goals. 6. Manages & coordinates preparation of complex aircraft modification proposal cost estimates & supports negotiation of contract terms and conditions. 7. Ensures all contract deliverables are provided to the customer in a timely and compliant fashion. 8. Acts as the primary interface with customer during program execution.

Additional Functions: 1. Support supplier/customer design, & program reviews to insure program deliverables, schedules & budgets are met. 2. Effectively tracks to closure all internal and external actions and open issues 3. Effectively coordinates with Senior Product Support and/or Completion management to ensure all program, business & customer satisfaction goals are met. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Experience in executing government programs preferred. 2. Must have the ability to obtain a US government security clearance if required.
