Responsible for managing construction activities in the North America West region. Manages outsourced suppliers. Oversees construction projects. Develops and maintains processes and procedures. Forecasts and manages quarterly budgets for these services to a high degree of accuracy. Drives continuous improvement in supplier processes and operating costs. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering tenant improvement construction projects using multiple project delivery and execution strategies at a competitive advantage. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget through all phases of design, contracting, and construction. Knowledgeable of construction processes, startup, testing, commissioning and acceptance of systems and buildings. Ensure projects are completed according to project plans. Candidate has a proven track record in managing a safety culture with leading indicators and methods that promote a safe working environment including incident investigation and corrective actions.

• Participate in the planning of facilities changes, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with internal business partners, architecture/engineering firms, Facilities Operations, and EH&S in developing, reviewing and approving design criteria, layouts and detail drawings.
• Resolve issues related to design criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
• Leads cross functional teams to architect service delivery processes and tools
• Identifies general areas for process and program improvement, and implements enhancements through assignment and management of appropriate personnel.
• Manages the development of departmental operating and capital budgets in accordance with corporate business plans.
• Oversees the management and control of these financial resources over the course of the financial period.
• Directs the development of budgetary strategies to effectively accommodate significant changes to business conditions, opportunities, and requirements.

Education

INCUMBENTS ARE PREFERRED WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. Degree, or equivalent, in such areas as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, etc.;
• 10 years significant business experience in high technology manufacturing/process industries, with 5 years supervisory/management experience.
• Proven track record in delivering customer satisfaction
