Job description: Volta Biotech is a marijuana/cbd processing and refinement company. We can process 80 pounds every 20 minutes with food grade ethanol – possibly the biggest capacity in the state. On the CBD side we sell bulk CBD oil and water soluble ingredients to end-formulators nationwide ( ). On the marijuana side we sell vape cartridges and our unique dose-controlled vaporizers called flowpens ( ). We are cashless and within Oklahoma deliver order and subscription orders with our vans. Our automated packaging equipment can fill and cap 4000 flowpens an hour.

We just received our license after successfully passing all building inspections. Our main focus for the next 30 days is doing mass production for the first time and delivering orders for the marijuana side of the business. Next is to go live with the wholesale CBD product line.

We’re looking for a passionate and professional person to fill the Chef/Smoothie Recipe Artist position.

The ideal candidate has cooking experience and nutritional smoothie making experience. Candidate must already be living in the Oklahoma City metro area to be eligible for this job.

1 We’re in kind of a food oasis/industrial part of town. We want you to make a nice daily lunch for our small staff and a smoothie for our cbd/collagen line of products we come out with later this year. Competitors (Vital Proteins, Liquid IV) create dozens of new products a year so we want this to be part of our product development process having you create recipes for all to try each day. Thoughts?

2 Are you comfortable being the only chef or think it would be nice to have another chef also to help with buying necessary supplies, making lunch, creating smoothie recipes, and making the smoothies? We think one to start, add another in a month. Thoughts?

3 We have a small area for the kitchen. We’re not finishing it on purpose to get your feedback on how we can optimize the space for you. Type of sink, type of oven, a larger fridge instead of a small fridge with maintenance closet? Then we send our plans to the health department and apply for a food handling license. 4 Our competitors create recipes and how to videos to feature in marketing emails or on their social media to their customer base. We have a large beautiful moss wall perfect for a classy backdrop. You would talk about the taste aspects while a skilled chemist talks about the science aspects behind the recipe. Comfortable making recipe videos?

5 This small area can get messy fast. Best to have someone with a clean as they go mentality. Is this ok?

6 We want a measurable results driven approach, not just yep everyone liked it. We need to measure and compare to see what recipes we’ll actually launch or publish. How would you plan to do this? Google Forms?

7 We will have a budget. You can negotiate this budget. But then we’ll have to stay within budget. Are you ok with this? Have you managed a budget for food like this before?

8 You’re joining a small team of 5 that should be 20 by summer, still, at times we may need to pull together to get a large order completed. We’re responsive to people’s desire to do their specialty but there may always be some general tasks we need your help with. Is this OK?

Benefits

Salary role with monthly production (6%) bonus

Annual development bonus allocation is 2.5% of all annual salaries, if you score a 3.4 or above you’re eligible for a bonus, capped at 10% per individual. This considers unplanned absences, attitude, etc.

PTO 1 hour per 20 hours worked (13 days/year), 1 hour per 17 hours after 5 years, 1 hour per 14 hours after 10 years
